Most likely, another app grabbed the main audio.
In iOS, the app in the foreground has full control of audio output. If you put it in the background, either by pushing the Power button or Home button, Voice Dream Reader tells iOS, “Don’t shut me down. I’m playing audio!” However, if another app forcefully tries to grab audio, iOS will stop the audio from Voice Dream Reader, because it’s not in the foreground.
